individual competition; 1st day short distance, 2nd and 3rd
day classic distance, 4th day middle distance with handicapped
starting (2nd and 3rd day courses will be shortened by 20%).
Categories: MW 10D (with help of ribbon),
12C, 14B C, 16B C, 18B C, 20A, 21E A B Br C, 35, 40, 45, 50,
55, 60, F65, 70, 75, Open Advanced, Open Beginner + children's race

merged!

Accomodation: all situated in Ajka. Prices
for one night.
Gym hall with own equipment: 500 HUF / person;
Camping in own tent: 1200 HUF / person (including
entry fee of the beach);
Youth hostel: 1500 HUF / person;
Pansion: 3500 HUF / person.
We can guarantee only accomodation booked
until entry deadline!
Transport: on 2nd-4th day in case of
enough preliminary request between Ajka and Finish Area,
price: 2000 HUF / person for 3 days.
Registration:
2004. July 28th: 16.00-22.00 in the Camping.
2004. July 29th: 14.00-16.00 at 1st day Finish Area.
First starts:
1st day: 17.00
2nd-4th day: 10.00
Maps: produced according to IOF standards.
1st day: 1:4 000 / 5 m, fieldworked in 2004;
2nd-4th day: 1:10 000 and 1:15 000 / 5 m, fieldworked
in 2004.
Terrain: mostly never was mapped for
orienteering before!
1st day: downtown of Ajka. Estate of four and ten floor
blocks. Between the houses quite detailed park areas. No
climbs.
2nd-4th day: tipical middle high mountain terrain with
easily runable forests and scattered bushy parts. At some
places stone fields and detailed surface (pits and
depressions) makes orienteering harder. You can find many of
marshes, small watercourses, small lakes. The forest is a
frequent hunting area, its objects (fodders, towers, salt
licks) can be found at many places.
Embargoed area: in the area
Ajka-Halimba-Nagyvázsony-Úrkút any orienteering activity is
forbidden before the event.
Prizes: first three places of each
category will be prized with medal and souvenir.
Victory ceremony: in Finish Area 2004.
August 1st, 13:00.
MTB-O: on 2nd day Hungarian Classis
Distance Championships, on 3rd days middle distance mountain
bike orienteering competition will take place at 15:00 with same
Finish Area. Entry fee 1200 HUF / person / day.
Details at MTBO.
GPS-O: GPS orienteering competition is
planned (details later).
Children's race: 2nd-4th day nearby
Finish Area, free of charge, each day victory ceremony.
Other program: during the competition
Cultural Festival will take place at Kapolcs, Pula, Vígántpetend
12 kms from Event Centre (details: www.kapolcs.hu).
You can have food and drink in the Finish Area
each day!
